Upgrading from PS4™ to PS5™

  • If you already own a copy of the game for PS4™, you can upgrade to the PS5™ version free of charge.
  • If you own the physical version for PS4™ and wish to play the digital version for PS5™, you must insert the PS4™ disc each time you play.
  • Players who own the physical version on PS4™ and have purchased the discless PS5™ Digital Edition won’t be able to obtain the digital version for PS5™ without paying for it.
  • You can play with the same data on both PS4™ and PS5™ provided you are using the same PlayStation®Network and SQUARE ENIX Account that are linked.

Will I be able to choose which server I connect to?

Either the North American, European, or Japanese server will be selected automatically for you to play on based on the region you have selected for your Square Enix Account. Please click here to review the region of your Square Enix Account.

Will different regions have their own servers?

Yes. Servers are separated based on the region registered to the Square Enix Account.

Can I play with people who are on a different server?

No, cross-server multiplayer is not available.

Is it possible to unlink my Square Enix Account from a platform account after linking them?

No, you will not be able to unlink your accounts once they have been linked.

Can I log into the game simultaneously on multiple platforms?

No, this will not be possible if you are using a single SQUARE ENIX Account.

Can I share screenshots or videos that I record from the game with other people?

Yes, sharing of content is allowed. Please review the guideline below.
